Second Term Contest- Shalobhodhyanam

GVHSS ARYANAD-VHSE SECTION SEED TEACHER CO-ORDINATOR:VINOD.R.V SEED REPORTER: SHINI JOHN CAMERAMAN AND VIDEO EDITOR: VIVEK M.R BHOOMIKA- MATHRUBHUMI SEED CLUB PRESENTS HOME FOR BUTTERFLIES-SHALOBHODYANAM Our school seed club members in association with, teachers, PTA and students constructed and maintained a home for butterflies-shalobhodhyanam. A single line of palms were planted in the boundary. Rare plants are collected by students and planted in our garden.Garden is enriched with various types of flowering plants namely cosmos, marigold, 10'o clock plants, techomera, lantana, roses, ixora, hibiscus, techoma,jasmine, ceasalpinia,water lily bridal bouquet, balsams etc. Common and rare medicinal plants like tulasi, aloe vera, coleus, biophytum, brahmi, boerhaavia, scoparia,centalla, sida, eclipta, emilia, asparagus,luecas, phyllantus etc was maintained in a corner named "Dhanwanthiri"- Punarjanimoola. A small pond with guppies and beautiful water lily at the centre of the pond. our students created such a beautiful garden for butterfiles - a home for homeless aimed to create awareness among future generation to nurture the nature, know about butterflies and their protection, in addition to theses the conservation and awareness of rare common medicinal plants in our locality.
