Salabhodyanam And Herbarium

There are two main programmes undertaken by SEED unit of GCUPS Kunhimangalam one is the Butterfly garden andother is the herbarium. 1.Butterfly garden:- Flowering plants of various types which can attract butterfly for nector were planted since June and we have currently 50 different types of butterflies were recorded here as visitors to these plants. It can not only help for plant breeding but also attracts biodiversity and contribute to ecological balance . 2. Herbarium :- Fiftty different types of herbal (medicinal) plants are there in our garden which is well maintained by SEED cordinator Smt. Soumya T and 42 SEED volunteers. Apart from that we have been planning to cultivate pure bio fresh vegitables when rainy season diminishes.
