World Enviornment Day Celebration

This year's world celebration day was celebrated by seed group members by distributing the mango tree saplings they grew at their home during the summer vacation to newly joined Kindergarten and LP School students.A total of 250 mango saplings were distributed, the collective of mango tree saplings by teachers and students constitute,Muvandan, Thambolam, Kilichundan, Pulichi, Sindhuri, Peraykka, Vellamkolli etc. The saplings were distributed to students in mud pots to ensure plastic free environment. School head mistress Smt Sujatha, Seed Convener Mrs V Jayasree, Seed members and teaching staff Mrs. Sreelatha, Mrs Sony Lewis, Mrs Sabitha, Mrs Remya and Mr Jayakumar participated along with all other teaching and non teaching staffs. The idea of 'Ente Maavu' instilled a sense of responsibility in kids of growing a new tree, which grow with them and also makes them understand that the growth of a tree is somewhat similar to the growth of a Human being, which takes years of care and love. The kids will always have a responsibility towards mother nature and life of themselves and thus grow a tree. This program also ensured the preservation of the endangered species of local species of mango trees.
